What is Armus Hull Pro and how does it improve a boat’s hull performance?
A full-performance clear hull coating. A true winner.
Armus Hull Pro is a revolutionary biocide-free hull coating. It’s simpler to call it a ceramicized epoxy to give you the picture of what it is and what it is not. It is NOT a bottom paint, there are no colors, simply a clear, hard, that creates a smooth, protective surface on your vessel’s bottom, reducing drag and increasing speed up to 10% while improving fuel efficiency from 10% to 20% through advanced fouling-release technology.

Traditional bottom paints contain harmful biocides that damage marine ecosystems and they fade over time leaving you aesthetically unpleased. Armus Hull Pro provides superior performance without environmental impact. This eco-friendly hull coating applies to fiberglass, gelcoat, and metal surfaces, creating a hard, durable, and glossy finish designed to last multiple seasons.
The Hull Pro system delivers exceptional fuel savings by maintaining a clean hull surface that won’t chip or lift like conventional bottom paint. This non-ablative coating protects against saltwater damage while providing UV protection and anti-osmosis blister resistance all in one. In or out of the water, Hull PRO is stable and does not fade. The smooth nature of Hull PRO reduces drag and therefore less energy is spent by the engines which increases fuel efficiency.
Let me tell you – this stuff out performs traditional bottom paints in longevity and hull efficiency.. The clear protective coating improves vessel performance through reduced maintenance and proper care requirements. For those of you with pontoon boats, sailboats, or powerboats, this sustainable alternative delivers long-lasting protection.
Additionally Hull Pro can and should be applied to engine lower units or drive for maximum efficiency. The paint is even much more resistant to chipping or flaking because of the encapsulation by the product. With the running bottom and the lower units coated, any boat will run faster and more efficiently than any other model on the water of the same kind. Truly a roll-on performance upgrade.
Lower fuel consuption. Go farther with every gallon
Every boat owner knows that fuel costs add up quickly, especially over a full season. Hull Pro’s slick, non-porous surface reduces the surface roughness of the bottom of your boat, meaning you burn less fuel to reach the same speeds. Whether you’re cruising long distances or making frequent short trips, those savings translate into real dollars in your pocket.

More time on the water, less money spent at the pump
With up to 17% fuel savings, that means fewer stops at the marina for refueling and more uninterrupted time enjoying your boat. Over the course of a season, this can add up to extra days or weekends on the water without worrying about fuel costs.
Less stress on your engine means increased longevity and reliability
Running your boat at high RPMs burns more fuel, generates more heat, and increases wear on critical engine components. Hull Pro allows you to maintain the same cruising speeds at lower RPMs, reducing overall engine stress. Less strain on your engine means fewer breakdowns, lower maintenance costs, and a longer lifespan for your engines.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does Armus Hull Pro last?
With proper care and washing, Hull Pro is designed to last multiple seasons, providing durable protection against fouling and drag. 3-5 years spending on the lifestyle and care implemented.
Can Hull Pro be applied over existing bottom paint?
Hull Pro alone can not be applied on top of bottom paint. However, it can be retro-fitted to the bottom paint after careful preparation and a bonding application of the Poseidon Primer. Hard bottom paint can be sanded to remove dead material, cleaned, and top coated with the Poseidon Primer creating a bonding bridge for the Hull PRO to be installed on top of. If you have purchased a boat with bottom paint that you don’t need, you will save on costs of full removal and re-gelcoating the bottom. Instead retrofit and gain the look and performance.
Does this coating work on boat lifts and dry storage?
Yes, Hull Pro performs excellently on vessels stored on boat lifts or in dry dock conditions, maintaining protection without water immersion. It will last even longer by being out of the water.
Can you coat lower units on the engines with hull pro?
Hull Pro allows your engine to run at lower RPMs while maintaining the same speed. Lower RPMs mean less engine wear, reduced fuel consumption, and longer service life for your motor. Over time, this helps preserve the value of your vessel while lowering maintenance costs.
Is Armus Hull Pro environmentally friendly?
Absolutely. This biocide-free formula contains no harmful chemicals, making it the sustainable choice for marine protection.Once cured the coating does not weep or leech into the water.
What’s the cost compared to traditional bottom paints?
While initial application cost may be higher, fuel savings and reduced maintenance create long-term value through improved efficiency. Bottom paint will devalue a vessel and therefore is not ideal when an option like Hull PRO is available.
Can Hull PRO be pressure washed and what’s best to clean it?
Yes, Hull PRO can be pressure washed and you can get aggressive and up close with it. Hull PRO is a very hard coating that can be cleaned while in or out of water. Cleaning in the water should be done with non abrasive pads, like white 3M cleaning pads or squeegee. If hard growth is resistant, plastic scrapers can be used. When you have Hull PRO installed you will need to have a diver ready to go for full time living in water conditions. In summer cleaning could be needed as frequent as once every week to 10 days and in winter it could be twice a month. This schedule is heavily dependent on the water the boat sits in so we always consult with our divers first before even selling the product to a customer.
